replacements covers show, khyber, philadelphia, pa, august 9, 2002

this was the release show for the second printing of face down records left of the dial: a pop tribute to the replacements and for the occasion we performed an entire set of replacement’s songs. the set leans heavily on the first four ‘mats albums as the dipsomaniacs had already featured a few later-era ‘mats tunes in their set and day of reckoning had performed pleased to meet me in it’s entirety. this is our entire set including the impromptu acoustic sing-along that served as our encore.

khyber, philadelphia, pa 9/8/01

the infamous “feel the pride” show. a ramshackle of a show with out of tune guitars for almost the entire set, becker and ward both wearing “smith” #35 paul vi high school football jerseys that belonged to becker’s roommate, and ending with our first ever guided by voices cover (with all of us switching instruments) that devolved into a wall of noise. for the last song becker played bass, ward played guitar, steve played guitar and pete played drums.

khyber, philadelphia, pa, spring 2001

don’t have an exact date for this one, probably in march. this was the first performance of both “deep end” and “trinket”. “trinket” we only played two or three times around this time and then shelved indefinitely. it didn’t make an appearance in a setlist again until may 2013.
